Our Co-op meets on Fridays. The classes listed below by age group represent a “track” for that group. Beginning at 9:00am, all students are expected to participate in the classes appropriate to their age throughout the morning. There is also gym time during the morning for each age group. Lunch: optional from 12-1pm, bring your own lunch, & stay for fellowship & clean-up.

Class Descriptions
ASSEMBLY
Our day starts off with 9am prayer, followed by the pledge of allegiance, worship songs, devotional, and announcements. Children worship together and recite verses for memorization.
0-3 NURSERY
While you’re teaching or helping in a class, your little ones will be cared for in a nurturing environment. Toys will be provided as well as other activities to keep them busy. There will be 2 or more moms at all times in the nursery.
4-5 YEAR OLDS
Pre-K/K
Children will be learning through story time, song, and crafts. They will have plenty of play and gym time to enforce social skills and fellowship.

6-7 YEAR OLDS
Let’s Learn About Money!
In this class we will be learning to identify coins and bills, and understanding their respective value. Counting will be reinforced by “pretend purchasing” small items that they will get to keep. Also, through reading and crafts we will learn about which historical figures are on the U.S currency.

Virtues
Let’s learn about the fruit of the Spirit and what the biblical virtues are! I’m excited to talk about real life examples you have seen in your lives and what to look for moving forward. You’re never too young, “but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”” Matt 19:14

In this Spanish class children will be reviewing and learning through singing and games. Things such as common words and phrases, basic grammar structure, and how to construct basic sentences will be reinforced.

Helping children process information in a logical way in order to solve problems and make right decisions.

Animal Anatomy
Let’s take a closer look at the special features God gave to the animals He created. We will read about, color, and trace the basic “blueprints” of a new animal each week.

Speech & Recitation
Students will grow their speaking skills as we engage in show-and-tell, conversation starters, personal introductions, and recite poems and Bible verses. Please let Victoria know if your child has any articulation/language issues or is shy about public speaking.

10-11 YEAR OLDS
Art
Students will explore the creative process and design fundamentals, drawing inspiration from various artists as they develop artistic skills and create a collection of works using a variety of media.

Study Hall
Students will learn note-taking and study skills from lectures and text. Topics covered include identifying key words/ideas, writing notecards, writing an outline, and learning how to quiz oneself.
Required materials: section of a notebook that student must bring to each class.

Life Ready
This class is dedicated to helping youth start to prepare for life. We will be looking at basic independent living skills such as saving and budgeting as well as basic maintenance skills.

“Oh, Taste and See!”
Let’s get hands-on while we explore different cultures and cuisines from countries around the world! We will be making simple dishes from a few countries to get to “taste” and “see” each country. All while having fun together. Working on basic knife skills, using various ingredients, and more with the goal of becoming more confident in the kitchen!
